BlackBerry Curve 8900 (Javelin) will enter Indonesia’s market on Dec 08 or Jan 09
A stop press from reliable sources, BlackBerry Curve 8900, also known as Javelin is about to enter Indonesia’s market on this December or January 2009, most likely to all BlackBerry’s partners, Telkomsel, Indosat, and XL. The source also told that his side is currently testing the stability of Javelin’s firmware. According to his test, the prototype he acquired is still less stable than expected. Hopefully, when the handset is finally released, no serious problem will occur, as the RIM should have already fixed most critical bugs.
Javelin is the next line up of Curve. Following the success of Curve series, Javelin is made for those who like small, handy, yet reliable tools for business purposes. The look and specs quite resembles BlackBerry Bold, the current superstar, with smaller processor speed and no 3G connectivity attached. The connection available is EDGE and WiFi. According to several pre-release review, Javelin has advantages, compared to Bold, in form factor and camera area.
