Truphone for iPhone: using 3G network
This must be a relief for iPhone user who would like to have low-rate VoIP call without always sitting to the hotspot. Truphone, the pioneer of VoIP call service has created a new iPhone app which allows user to use it inside 3G network.
Called Truphone Anywhere, this app maybe the killer app for those who wish to have low rate dial around the globe. For example, if you want to call from USA to Indonesia, the rate are US$ 0.20 per minute for landlines, US$ 0.30 for mobiles, US$ 0.20 for SMS, and free for fellow Truphone users!
Other feature includes “presence”, where iPhone users, who use Truphone, can see which of their other Truphone contacts are online, including the one who also use iPhone (with Truphone). As result, user can make free iPhone-to-iPhone Truphone calls.

Hi. Thanks for remarking on our recent announcement - but I need to let you know about an error in your post. Truphone for the iPhone does not enable VoIP calls over 3G. Available in 33 countries, Truphone Anywhere makes a GSM call to a local point-of-presence, and from there on the call is carried by the internet. I hope that’s helpful to your readers.

Hi there,
I am citing my source telling that it works for 3G network. If not then my source was wrong and Truphone eventually not working over 3G. Thanks
