North Korea has 3G but cellphone is still banned
Another shocking news from this country. North Korea is reported to launch its 3G network today, despite of the unlifted ban of using cellphones for public. The 3G network goes live in Pyongyang and other major cities. As predicted, only small amount of military elites have privileges for such “telecom paradise”.
Quite ironic that in the corner of the country, lies thousands of people with poverty and malnutrition. It appears that the US$ 400 million of cost is worth for telecom, rather than feeding the people. Is this how the country treating their citizens?
