iPhone 3G spotted in Apple Store Indonesia page
I believe this must be a follow up of Apple upcoming action for distributing iPhone 3G in Indonesia, the largest country in Southeast Asia region. Deon found a dedicated page for iPhone 3G in Apple Store Indonesia online site. Unfortunately, the page itself cannot be accessed (directly) from main page, since there is no menu to bring the customers to the iPhone area, like for Macbook and iPod. Of course, it meant Indonesian hasn’t able to buy the phone, yet.
In iPhone country list, there is no Indonesia flag yet-unlike Thailand, although Thailand flag is still in coming soon section. Previously, we reported that Apple most likely has reached an agreement with Telkomsel, country’s largest operator, to distribute the iPhone 3G in Indonesia. The launching is scheduled on mid of February.
Indonesia, the 5th largest country in the world in term of population, has about more than 100 million cellular subscribers nationwide. Recently, BlackBerry Bold has scored great success in term of sales in major cities. Definitely, Indonesia is a very potential market for Apple to enhance iPhone’s sales.
