WSJ: Dell for phone next month, for real?
Another rumor, again and again, will Dell deny it? Wall Street Journal, a prominent media giant, reported (subscribe first) that Dell is preparing to launch its version of cellphone. WSJ got the news from “people familiar with the matter”. Previously, Dell has denied a rumor that they are going to unveil an Android phone. What kind of OS will support the Dell-if-official phone then? I don’t think Windows Mobile will become its partner this time.
Dell is known as the major computer maker in the US. Created by Michael Dell and headquartered in Texas, Dell once tried their luck in handheld business with Axim series. Dell Axim was powered by Windows Mobile. Although not pretty success in term of sales, Dell Axim was actually noted as one good product.
