10 Indonesian people to become the first in the world to obtain Nokia E75

Previously, Nokia Indonesia had already used this method to introduce its Nokia E90 to public. One person became the first in the world to have Nokia E90 by auctioning for charity. Now, Nokia Indonesia once again does the similar thing. 10 Nokia E75 are auctioned in an event attended by Indonesia’s Nokia Communicator Community. About 1,000 people following the event. The auction result will be donated to World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
Indonesia is known to have the largest Nokia Communicator communities in the world. According to CIA’s World Factbook, the country’s GDP in 2008 was estimated at US$ 3,900 per capita per year. Quite amazing that this developing country is the most populous Communicator-phone-penetration in the world.
Anyway, Nokia E75 is the next development in business phone. Having a sliding form factor, E75 is placed as replacement to Communicator series. If you take a look closer, the idea is quite similar to N97. E75 will have built-in email solution. Previously, Nokia has erased BlackBerry Connect feature in Nokia E71, E66, and E63; and creating own solution called Nokia Messaging.
Beside that, E75 will be powered by Symbian S60 release 3.2, HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, and 4GB microSD card included. However, this phone will “only” run on top of 369 MHz ARM processor. Quite slow compared to Bold’s 624 MHz or iPhone 3G’s 412 MHz.
There will be two cameras attached. The primary camera, in the back, is 3.2 megapixels camera with autofocus and LED flash, while the front camera will have VGA resolution. This phone is scheduled to be available worldwide this Q1, with American version to have HSDPA 850 MHz frequency.
