Panasonic developes Android phone for overseas market
Panasonic intends to manufacture Android-based handsets for various markets around the world. Currently, the Japanese company sells phones only in Japan. “We are seriously considering developing an Android-based handset and entering overseas mobile phone markets in fiscal 2010,” said Keisuke Ishii, director of the Mobile Terminal Business Unit at Panasonic Mobile Communications.
NTT DoCoMo Inc just recently announced its Android-based handset, “HT-03A” in The Rising Sun country. Manufactured by High Tech Computer (HTC) Corp of Taiwan, it’s one of its summer 2009 models.
