E72, 5530 XpressMusic, 3710 fold unveiled at Nokia Connection 2009
At the Nokia Connection event held in Singapore today, Nokia unveiled the new Nokia E72, 5530 XpressMusic and 3710 fold. The Finnish phone maker is also trying to focus on services by offering its Ovi solutions.
Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer Mary McDowell said, “Nokia envisions a world where people will be empowered to share and connect with what matters most to them through highly personalised and contextually relevant solutions.”
According to Chris Carr, Vice President of Sales in SEAP region, we have already reached the 4 billion mobile connections milestone globally early this year. The next phase of growth will be very much driven by the emerging markets, including Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.”
Nokia E72
For the first time, owners will be able to set up instant messaging (IM) accounts provided by Nokia Messaging direct from the homescreen. Sporting 5 MP camera, the Nokia E72 is expected to begin shipping late in the third quarter of 2009.
Nokia 5530 XpressMusic
The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, a compact XpressMusic device that uses a touch interface for accessing people and content on the homescreen. The homescreen also features one touch shortcuts to content and popular social networks, like Facebook and MySpace. The device is expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of 2009.
Nokia 3710 fold
Nokia introduced the Nokia 3710 fold, a mobile device that balances eye-catching design with the latest in mobile functionality. The Nokia 3710 fold is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2009.

The Nokia E72 looks pretty nice and pretty snazzy. Not bad with the 5mp camera and the keyboard for faster texting. I am also digging the Nokia 5530 xpressmusic phone! Touchphones are so innovative and popular and this one looks really nice. I must admit though, after seeing these two the 3710 looks pretty shabby in comparison.
