Japan’s Wilcom ran Android platform demo

Japan is well known as center of technology. Recently they prove it again. As the Android platform buzz are all over the Internet, Japan based Wilcom, creator of PHS network mobile phone and data provider, is demoing core module based on Android in Tokyo last week. Verizon Wireless to join Android alliance?

One more big player to join Google initiative. Verizon Wireless seems going to use (and sell) Android platform phone. Verizon Wireless CEO, Lowell McAdam, said, "clearly the Android system gives a lot of developers the opportunity to develop applications for a wide range of handsets". Later he added, "we've talked with Google and we continue to analyze it".

Google Talk using unofficial Android GTalk client application

As the contest has begun, someone has already created unofficial Google Talk client application to be run under Android platform. The application is written using J2ME as Android's main application language and using XMPP protocol to send and receive messages. You may download the source at here. HTC Omni for Android?

There is some speculation that HTC latest model, Omni, will be built with Google's Android platform. The idea is brought by the fact, Forbes description about Google phone, are all checks for HTC Omni. It is thin, 3 inch width and 5 inch long, feature touchscreen and rectangular screen, slightly beveled, and swivel to one side while revealing full keyboard beneath. Is it going to be come true? This is Google Android preview

Yes. It is official. You can see the Android platform in many kinds of phone since after HTC; Motorola, Samsung, and LG will build their own using Android. Instead of only iPhone-killer-title, I would say, watch out Microsoft, your Windows Mobile is may obsolete soon!
