We know that GSM technology is a sort of open standard technology -- just like Linux in computer world. And we consider its competitor, CDMA, as a propietry technology, which always deal with royalty, patent rights or something like that . LAMPUNG, INDONESIA - Qualcomm Incorporated, a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, today announced the program launch of the Qualcomm Wireless Reach initiative in Way Kanan, Lampung. Indonesia’s BTEL to Expand Coverage

Publicly listed cellular phone provider PT Bakrie Telecom, which operates the CDMA-based esia mobile phone service, plans to expand its coverage to 15 cities in Banten and West Java next month in a bid to carve itself out a bigger share of the mobile phone market. Bakrie Telecom Grows Fixed Wireless Indonesian Network with Nortel Solutions

DoCoMo 3G Phones Get Windows Media

The third generation (3G) providers in Japan have came to "open war" now. Indonesia’s Bakrie Telecom Will Launch 3G 1xEV-DO

Indonesia's fixed wireless access operator PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk (BTEL) will soon launch 1xEV-DO-based 3G services, BTEL's president director Anindya Novyan Bakrie told 3GWeek recently. Fastest Growing 3G in the Philippines

The Philippines would be one of the fastest growing 3G country in Southeast Asia.
