Korea and Japan lead in mobile advertising

Advertising is now reaching mobile sector. As new media, not many advertising service has been implemented successfully. Among all countries surveyed, Korea and Japan, as predicted, take in lead in this area. According to ABI Research, the total value of all mobile advertising and marketing will reach $1.2 billion in Japan and $684 million in South Korea by 2012.

Bubble Motion launched interoperability voice SMS

Bubble Motion 3 days ago launched its new product, named InterCONNECT, where enable interoperability for voice SMS globally. Bubble Motion's InterCONNECT connects multiple operators who have deployed the BubbleTALK service for their end-users. Digi in Malaysia and Indosat in Indonesia, both Bubble Motion partners, recently completed a successful InterCONNECT trial.

Worldwide SMS revenues to hit $67bn by 2012

SMS continues to be a phenomenal success as the cheapest, quickest and easiest to use form of peer-to-peer mobile communication. A new report from Portio Research forecasts a healthy future for SMS, which continues to be the star of the data services show with traffic volumes and revenues that continue to confound predictions. Although the growth of SMS revenues will not be as aggressive as the growth of SMS volumes due to declining prices, by 2012 global SMS revenues are expected to reach 67bn USD, driven by 3.7 trillion messages.
