If you have to spend your time in deep sea, don't worry, you still can connect to the world, even send your great and exclusive picture to your family members live from the surface using 3G network! Bakrie Telecom Grows Fixed Wireless Indonesian Network with Nortel Solutions

DoCoMo 3G Phones Get Windows Media

The third generation (3G) providers in Japan have came to "open war" now. In facing the fast growing of the rival KDDI with CDMA2000 1xEV-DO and BREW platform, NTT DoCoMo chooses Windows Media to support their W-CDMA handset. Telstra Unsure of 3G Customer Numbers

Everyone now speaks about the third generation (3G) tecnology and services. So how far you understand about the future of the high-tech telecommunication industry? Hutchison to Move All Customers to 3G

Sooner or later, moving all recent customers in the existing 2G network to the 3G network is very important policy to do by operator. Since the migration could do seamlessly, hopefully customers are experiencing 3G service sooner. Hutchison Telecommunications will become the first mobile phone provider in Australia to move all its customers to the 3G network as it manoeuvres to keep ahead of the pack of telcos rolling out the high tech service. Optus Considers Free 3G Phones

Optus is preparing to offer free mobile phones to push customers towards its third generation srvice, but hasn't found an appropriate handset or price. The number-two telco has spent $370 million on its 3G mobile network, which gives users faster and cheaper services, but is yet to aggressively push its 2G customers towards it. Earlier this year, almost 500,000 Hutchison mobile subscribers were offered a new free 3G handset as the provider moved to ditch its 2G network. Optus chief executive Paul O'Sullivan said the telco would look to offer free handsets before Christmas. 3G Phones in Finland Doubled in One Month: Elisa

The number of third generation mobile phones in Finland doubled in the month after new laws took effect on April 1 allowing bundled sales of phones and subscriptions, a senior executive at operator Elisa said on Monday. "The number of 3G handsets has doubled in a month, they are now 2 percent of all phones and the churn has come down," Matti Vikkula, Elisa's executive vice president for private customer business, said at Helsinki's MobileMonday technology fair. Indonesia’s Bakrie Telecom Will Launch 3G 1xEV-DO

Indonesia's fixed wireless access operator PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk (BTEL) will soon launch 1xEV-DO-based 3G services, BTEL's president director Anindya Novyan Bakrie told 3GWeek recently. 3G Vodafone in HP Notebook

The third generation (3G) will come to many commercial laptops. Over the weekend, HP and Vodafone in Ireland revealed that Vodafone 3G Connect Cards will come bundled with every HP commercial laptop. The offer is subject to the customer signing up for a business plan with Vodafone. The promotion is currently available across the entire range of HP laptops. The news comes within weeks of Dell striking a similar deal with Vodafone to embed 3G connectivity within its laptops, followed by HSDPA (high-speed download packet access) functionality in laptops later this year.
