Sony Ericsson’s first announcement in 2008

As predicted before, Sony Ericsson unveiled some new handsets in Consumer Electronic Show, Las Vegas. There are 3 new phone in their line ups. Two Walkman phone, W760 and W350, and a clamshell phone, Z555.

Telenor Pakistan selects Nokia for wireless email solution

Pakistani operator, Telenor, agreed to select Nokia as their partner to implement wireless email for consumers. Telenor will offer Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email to its consumer customers, small-meditum enterprises (SMEs), and large corporations. The service, branded as "SmartMail", is currently available.

Survey: mobile phone helps balance work and social lives

Nokia and Illuminas conducted survey to gather information about the usefulness of mobile phone. The result is no surprise. An overwhelming 80 percent of respondents believe that having a mobile phone enables them to achieve a positive balance between their work and social life.

mobilePeople’s liquid MAPs: watchout Google Maps!

mobilePeople, leading company for local mobile search and advertising solutions for directory publishers, announced their new product "liquid MAPs" that can be used directly from your handset. liquid MAPs is built using Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG) embedded in a Java environment. With the use of Java, which are used in most of handsets nowadays, mobilePeople tries to reach more mass market. This is one of the answer for announcement of Android, which accommodates native environment for own Google Maps.

Bubble Motion launched interoperability voice SMS

Bubble Motion 3 days ago launched its new product, named InterCONNECT, where enable interoperability for voice SMS globally. Bubble Motion's InterCONNECT connects multiple operators who have deployed the BubbleTALK service for their end-users. Digi in Malaysia and Indosat in Indonesia, both Bubble Motion partners, recently completed a successful InterCONNECT trial.

Nokia: the way we live next

Nokia shared its vision regarding the future of convergence of Internet and mobility with the campaign "The Way We Live Next" in Oulu's Nokia Research Center - Finland. Tero Ojanperä, Nokia's Chief Technology Officer, said to continue to stay ahead in this environment and to develop innovative new products and services, companies need to embrace openness on many levels.

As being informed before, Sony Ericsson unveiled 3 new products, K660, W890, and W380 in London, UK. “Sony Ericsson’s vision is to offer ‘Generation Web’ a mobile internet experience that’s rich, user-friendly and satisfying,” says Martin Winkler, Head of Web Marketing at Sony Ericsson.
