Phone signal is claimed not to cause cancer

Phone signal can cause cancer, especially cancer? Indeed the signal spreads out radiation, but can it triggers any cancer risk in human body? A study by scientists in Japan has lain to rest these fears by finding that mobile use does not increase the risk of brain tumours. The tumours that were analysed for in this study were meningioma – the most common benign tumour, glioma - a type of primary central nervous system (CNS) tumour, and pituitary adenoma - tumours that occur in the pituitary gland.

Japan’s mobile advertising rises 42% in 2007

Dentsu unveiled their research that Japan mobile advertising was projected to reach US$ 3.4 billion in 2007. It grows 42% compared to previous year. Dentsu tracks online advertising in three areas, search ads, mobile ads and fixed Internet ads such as banner, email, rich media and text advertisements. By 2011, Dentsu estimates that Japan's online ad market value will be $6.8 billion. Source: WebProNews

One of three elementary school kids in Japan have cellphone

Reveal in the survey conducted by Goo Research that one of three elementary school kids in Japan have their own cellphone. Will sample size reaches 1100 children, 34.4% said that they have mobile phone for their own use.

Korea and Japan lead in mobile advertising

Advertising is now reaching mobile sector. As new media, not many advertising service has been implemented successfully. Among all countries surveyed, Korea and Japan, as predicted, take in lead in this area. According to ABI Research, the total value of all mobile advertising and marketing will reach $1.2 billion in Japan and $684 million in South Korea by 2012.

Juniper forecasts Mobile WiMAX to reach 80 million subcribers in 2013
