PlayNow is alive and rocking!

Sony Ericsson's new but old PlayNow feature is being completed. Deals with 10 major record labels were announced, adding over five million new, and mostly DRM-free, tracks to the PlayNow arena catalog. Sony Ericsson makes deals with 10 major record labels — including Sony BMG, Warner Music Group, EMI, The Orchard, IODA, The PocketGroup, Hungama, X5 Music, Bonnier Amigo, and VidZone.

Sony Ericsson Japan: W61s and W62s

Yes, rest of the world probably the step child of Sony Ericsson Japan product. Not that they don't care, but the drooling product always be unveiled in Japan only. Until now, there are only 2 kinds that being launched from Japan's to non Japan market. They are S700 and W900, and run on GSM network technology.

New Sony Ericsson Radio series

Asides from new new T-series, Sony Ericsson also launched 2 new Radio series handsets in India. It is not part of Ericsson's R series who once famous. R here means Radio. The capability of this series is playing AM radio (and of course FM) in the phones. The first one is R300 and second one is R306. These phones consider as low-budget phones as part of Sony Ericsson campaign on taking low-end market.

Sony Ericsson’s new phones are going to be announced in India

After announcing 3 new phones in CES Las Vegas, Sony Ericsson keeps launching new phone. Thanks to "make up" team, the Sweden-Japanese manufacturer will launch new version of best-buy in low end series, T270 and T280, today in India. With form based of T250, the phones will target cheap phone market in Asia. Other than that, predicted that Sony Ericsson will launch 2 other phones, currently no word.

New color of Sony Ericsson K770

After Sandy Beige, Truffle Brown, and Ultra Violet, Sony Ericsson K770 has been completed with two new colors. The first is Henna Bronze and the second is Soft Black. Hopefully this additional colors will boost the selling of slim cyber-shot phone. As we know, K770 is being equipped with same camera as the mighty K800 (with no xenon flash and BestPic), but in slimmer form (14 mm). Source: Slashphone

F-secure makes Sony Ericsson UIQ users feel save

For those using UIQ version of Sony Ericsson phone, don't worry on battling against virus and worm. F-secure, a Finnish security company, will help protecting the precious phone from any digital villain. F-Secure said it had developed a trial version of its mobile security product for UIQ. 3GWeek Rumor: new Sony Ericsson candybar phone?

A leak in the Internet reveal pictures, claimed as new Sony Ericsson candybar line up. At first, it is very similar to legendary, T610. The specification is said to be equipped with Cyber-shot's 5 megapixels autofocus camera, built in GPS, and strong dual led flash. Not only in blue, the phone will be available in other colors too.

Sony Ericsson sold 100 million handsets in 2007

Japan-Swedish manufacturer, Sony Ericsson, which is now rank in number 4 of mobile producer, reported to sell 100 million handsets in 2007. Translated into percentage, now Sony Ericsson holds 9% of market share and plan to take the US market from Motorola. One big contribution made by its Walkman series. Among 145 million music phone sold last year, 57 million were Walkman phones.
