Korean giant, Samsung, has launched its new product in clamshell, SCH-W690. Available only-for now-in local market via SK Telecom, the phone will feature a new 2.6 inch AMOLED screen that supports 240×320 pixels and 262K colors. It is the similar screen used by Nokia N85.

A bold move by RIM, entering South Korea right after the local gov’t change the rule about mobile regulation standard. RIM and its local counterpart, SK Telecom, will market BlackBerry Bold 9000 for corporate users by this month. Claimed as the world’s first, LG Electronics announced that has independently developed the first handset (user equipment) modem chip, based on 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology standards. The modem chip theoretically support wireless download speeds of 100 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps. It is about 17 times faster than HSDPA technology.
