Sharp is still number one in Japan

Sharp, a company who makes the brilliant Aquos, is still leading in Japan’s mobile phone market with their GX and TM series. Followed by Panasonic, Fujitsu, Toshiba, and NEC. Despite of some negative analysis from economist about Japanese mobile phone market, Sharp took about 25.1% market share.

SoftBank Japan announced new model

Japan’s mobile operator SoftBank unveiled 10 new models to compete with other operator. Among those new models, 7 are coming from Sharp alone. The operator formerly known as Vodafone prepares the collection for winter 2007 when then sales usually raises up during Christmas and Year End.

Infineon, Panasonic team up for dual-mode 3G phone

Infineon Technologies AG announced that its GPRS/UMTS multimedia platform will power Panasonic Mobile Communications Co. Ltd’s newest Softbank 705P mobile handset.
