Sharp will join The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

What this samurai want to do on that event? Challenging Bruce Lee? Maybe not. They just want to sell their mobile phone, but not by becoming its official sponsor anyway. The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games opening ceremony will be held at August, 8th 2008. Before that fireworks burst to the sky of Beijing, Sharp will launch their product before the d-day yet still in the same month.

Nowadays, China’s mobile phone market is still dominated by giant like Nokia, Samsung, and Motorola. One of the other Japanese samurai, Kyocera, just quit their fight this month since they can’t sell their product cheaper than competitors did. So why would Sharp couldn’t stop their ambition. Don’t they afraid?

For Miyuki Nakayama, Sharp spokeswoman, China is still going to be a good market for Sharp mobile phone since so many Chinese want to buy high-tech handsets even if they are expensive. Sharp will targeted consumers who ask the best quality in LCDs screen, feature which Sharp is best known at.
