The green champ: Sony Ericsson T650i
Did you come to the CeBIT this year? Nop. So do I. Well, never mind. I just want to tell you about one post which PSFK had published yesterday. That post title is “Greenpeace Ranks Green Gadgets at CeBIT“. Thanks for this one since I will write my post on the top of that

Actually, the survey itself is an awesome one since Greenpeace only analyze product from vendor who want to submitted their product voluntarily. So, vendor who didn’t want to is out of the coverage area. Those companies who refused to submit included: Acer, Apple, Asus, Creative, Microsoft, Nintendo, Palm, and Sharp. An important question we want to ask is how could this Sony Ericcson won this reputable survey?
Surely, it must be because it fulfilled four sets of criteria:
-
use of hazardous chemical substances,
-
energy efficiency,
-
product life cycle
-
innovations and marketing.
But the precise answer is ….

The Sony Ericcson T650i is the leader of the pack, performing well on the energy efficiency of its charger and being free of PVC, phthalates and beryllium and its compounds, while its main printed circuit board
is BFR-free. The Nokia N95 is also PVC and phthalate-free and with a printed circuit board free of BFRs and antimony but its charger is less efficient, resulting in it earning only second place.
Congratulation!
