Is Motorola going to join Siemens to deadpool?

Well, I think everybody is really wondering about this situation. Motorola is seems not going anywhere. After the resignation of their CEO and CTO, the declining sales, dull product, and not very convincing plan in 2008, will the American pride join the German once respected, Siemens, to the deadpool?
One big mistake Motorola made in 2007 was they never listen to the market. People wants multimedia, people wants fashionable phone, but still Motorola thinks RAZR-like rocks. Well, RAZR was rocking in 2006, but not in 2007. In 2007, Nseries is the king, Apple’s iPhone is the queen, Sony Ericsson’s Walkman and Cyber-shot series is the prince and princess, and slim Samsung is the contender. Where is Motorola?
Yes, they are still the numero uno is US and China market. But iPhone definitely is the single product that ruin the share of Motorola’s overall US market. Yet, Motorola is unable to unveil their iPhone contender. Not even close. What about the office mobility market? The MotoQ is unlikely to be winner since it is not even near to the ability of Blackberry.
Maybe one strategic step they made is joining Open Handset Alliance in supporting Google Android. But is there any guarantee that their model will sell more than their fellow Android makers like HTC, Samsung, and LG? I really doubt about it. The Asians are very creative in making the designs.
Where are you heading Greg Brown? Will we see another sunk ship of major manufacturer in 2008?
