New Sony Ericsson Radio series
Asides from new new T-series, Sony Ericsson also launched 2 new Radio series handsets in India. It is not part of Ericsson’s R series who once famous. R here means Radio. The capability of this series is playing AM radio (and of course FM) in the phones. The first one is R300 and second one is R306. These phones consider as low-budget phones as part of Sony Ericsson campaign on taking low-end market.
The similarity of these 2 phones are both have bluetooth, AM and FM frequencies with RDS, TrackID feature, 65K TFT display with 128×160 pixels resolution (R300 has 1.8 inch wide, while R306 has 1.9 inch wide), and camera (R300 has VGA camera, R306 has 1.3 megapixels). Most different thing is R306 is a clamshell, while R300 is a candybar. R306 will be equipped with stereo integrated speaker, while R300 only be in stereo mode using earphone.
The phones will be available in selected countries (mostly emerging), R300 in Q2 2008 and R306 in Q3. R300 will be available in Antique Copper and Steel Black color versions. The R306 will have Coffee Black and Champagne White color variant.
