Huawei to serve Mobily for three years

huawei mobily logo

Mobily a.k.a Etihad Etisalat, well-known mobile operator and the second largest in Saudi Arabia (after Saudi Telecom) had announced a deal with Huawei, a China’s telecommunication company with the most catchy logo I think.

On that three years agreement, Huawei will serve and responsible for setting up and maintaining these seven things:

  1. network operations,
  2. back office,
  3. field operations,
  4. network optimization,
  5. spare parts management,
  6. multi-vendor telecom equipment
  7. manage multi-vendor spare parts and 3rd level support.

To Huawei, those tasks isn’t a big problem since they have a very good discipline and culture in fostering their R&D; within six cities outside China and Seven in their homeland; that’s fantastic for Chinese!

This dealt will help Mobily to focus in marketing than dithering themself in technology issue. Hmmm, for a short time this is a good choice for Mobily, but not for their future. Imagine a technology-based company which depend on others for their next products or service. That’s clearly horrible.

However, what makes Huawei really cool is because they can provide such real phone for lower-middle class people in developing country like Indonesia or India. Yeah, actually I am the real example for this.
