Review on LG enV2

Lookin cool. Lookin good.

Previously, 3GWeek had never ever wrote something called enV. But todays, what I want to show you is not the original enV which was launched officially on November 2006 yet the updated version, LG enV2. I got this stuff from InfoSyncWorld and Phonescoop. Here, I try to introduce it nicely.

enV2’s design will remind us to Communicator or some Sharp Willcom D4 . However, this one will remind us closely to the first enV. lol. Yeah, enV2 is a working-man gadget. Means that it will help you to cope your tasks seamlessly.

Its QWERTY keyboard is fantastic. Phonescoop and InfoSyncWorld said that enV2’s keyboard is awesome. It’s compact and elegant. Dialing or pressing is absolutely easy.

After keyboard, video is a feature where both of blogs appreciate this gadget nicely. Thanks to 260,000 color TFT LCD with 160 x 64 pixels at 1.45 inches screen. Don’t forget the speaker too. Not one but two which flank enV2’s body tightly.

Finished with all of these good things, reviewers give this gadget such a smack that may lead people to neglect it. Read this text carefully:

The browser on the LG enV2 (Openwave 6.2.3.2) was unconscionably bad for a QWERTY phone. One of the best benefits of having a keyboard is the ability to type long Web addresses, but with the enV2, you might as well not bother. The phone crashed on our site, and was unable to load any but the mobile versions of CNN and the New York Times. And these pages came out looking blocky and poorly rendered. Verizon Wireless should have included an Opera Mini browser on this phone.

If you are interested to envy your friend with this enV2, get ready for $130 and be a Verizon Wireless fellow for about two years in contract. This gadget is exclusively sold in US. I haven’t found its report in Asia or even in South Korea.

Dear James, I personally appreciate your feeling about this contracts. However, believe me or not, this is the shortest path for South Korean cellphone makers to sell their handsets in US market since top competitor like Motorola also did the same thing. Fortunately, this works.
