A really good news for Japan’s gadget otaku. The country’s largest operator, NTT DoCoMo, is planning to sell Google’s Android platform phone next year. DoCoMo is one member of Open Handset Alliance (OHA), organization that developed the Android OS, based from Linux. Probably the model that will be sold is based on HTC’s T-Mobile G1.

Wow, this must be a great innovation. DoCoMo, Sharp, and Nissan agree to collaborate on creating new thing. They are making a cellphone that also can be acted as car key. The press release said:

Japan’s largest mobile operator, NTT DoCoMo, is about its latest series created by Panasonic and NEC. The launching date is set on August 15 (tomorrow). Both products are going to use numerical code 706ie. The difference is in initial alphabet. Panasonic is coded with P, while NEC with N.

Finally, Blackberry reaches Japan. NTT DoCoMo–the largest mobile operator in Japan–offers Blackberry service, begun from August 1. No dedicated server needed, as the phone is aimed not only corporate customer, but individual customer too. One Blackberry to be offered is Blackberry 8707H.
