N-Gage to make game for console?
During the Develop 2008 conference, Aki Järvilehto–now Nokia’s Global Head of Business Development and Innovation–unveiled that the company he works for is looking into concepts “where we use the same assets for Xbox Live Arcade or PlayStation online“.
He didn’t mention anything about converting N-Gage gaming for gaming console, like PlayStation 3 or XBOX360, but of course his statement triggers a debate whether their current gaming asset, N-Gage, will be enhanced furthermore.
As we all know, N-Gage has been transformed into gaming software package, where it can be installed as application to recent Nokia handsets. With this condition, It supposes easier to turn N-Gage games to their console version.
Yet, I still believe “N-Gage online gaming device” should become handheld gaming device–like PlayStation Portable (PSP). Equipped it with online capabilities and voila! We can play N-Gage games in both 42 inch display as well as in 2 inch display.
