iPhone to debut in Australia in June

rumor

Just a rumor fellows …..

I tell you what. This is a much heavier rumor than 3GWeek previous one. This post is not about the iPhone technicality aspect. Yet this is about its debut in Australia on which I also guess that this will bring up a new rumor too: the first iPhone debut in Asia (both of them are closely enough don’t they).

This rumor came up from Cellphone9 via The After Mac via MacTalk (look out this chain of rumor). So what the rumor talks about? Forum at MacTalk said that Apple have been informing resellers about their iPhone strategy in Australia. Here you are:

Last week of June release

The rumor mesh up this issue with the Apple’s WWDC in San Francisco, June 9-13 2008 and the upcoming Apple’s store in Sydney and Melbourne. On that next opening ceremony, the forum said that 3G iPhone is the perfect stuff Apple’s could show to Aussie. Yeah, disenchant them not Steve.

More than one carrier

All network operator in Australia is available for 3G. So, there is such no worry like what people got in AT&T and Apple’s gate. Good bye AT …

No contract lock in

The forum said that Australia is a suitable market for Apple to test this strategy since Australia have a fast adoption on new technology but fortunately have a small market which won’t hurt Apple if they fail. Jobs, Hello …. are you listening now?

Current resellers will be able to sell iPhones

It’s simple, this is the reason why Apple is telling resellers (the source of this rumors) in the first place, because they’ll be selling them - otherwise Apple would do what they need to do without them.

Ok, now stop all the rumor for this moment. I think Asia will get their iPhone before September. Oh yummy, now I am the source of rumor too.
