iPhone 3G will hit Philippines on August 22

Don’t get me wrong here. 3GWeek has put a specific banner to commemorate the rise of iPhone 3G in Asia. So it won’t be considered as a mistake for me to published such similar topic successively, post by post.
After India, now it’s time for Philippines. CNet’s Ignatius Javellana has just reported that his country will get the iPhone 3G on the same date as India. But unlike Indian who have two operators to serve them - Bharti Airtel and Vodafone, Filipinos are only betting their heart on Globe Telecom. The same company that bring Mobile TV for the first time ever in their country.
Luckily, besides that launch date, Globe Telecom has also given a price plan for Filipinos in one special web page. And please forgive me, I’m just too confuse to read the table of this pricing plan. So it is better for you to check and read it yourself. Weird, I still don’t get it; “Plan 4,999“.
Somebody, help me please.

Yeah, its finally arrived here in the Philippines but it was too highthan the original price. Around US$850 for the 8G version.
I think it will not be a big hit because Nokia N95 is cheaper than iPhone which it has also a similar features.
